The design process begins with initial sketches of your piece. Our team will educate and guide you through every step of the journey, helping you explore design possibilities, materials, and details. Review & Approval
Once your custom design has been created, we will provide detailed CAD renderings and images for your review. This is your opportunity to carefully examine every aspect of the design and request any adjustments before production begins.
Our team will work closely with you to ensure every detail reflects your vision, from the overall design and proportions to the smallest finishing touches. We want you to feel completely confident and excited about your piece before it moves into manufacturing.
After the design has been finalized and approved, a 50% deposit will be collected and applied toward the final cost of your custom jewelry. Once approved, your piece will move into production at our Hayek Jewelers atelier in Derry, New Hampshire, where it will be handcrafted by our skilled artisans using exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Every custom jewelry piece is designed in collaboration with our team and handcrafted at our Hayek Jewelers atelier and manufacturing facility in Derry, New Hampshire. Throughout the process, we provide regular communication, design approvals, and progress updates to ensure your vision is brought to life exactly as imagined.
Our Custom Jewelry Design Process
1. Design Consultation
We begin with a personal consultation to discuss your ideas, inspiration, gemstones, heirloom jewelry, and design preferences.
2. CAD Design & 3D Rendering
Using advanced computer-aided design (CAD) technology, we create a detailed 3D model of your jewelry. CAD renderings are intended to show the overall design and structure of the piece. The finished jewelry will be significantly more refined and polished than the digital rendering.
3. Design Approval
We provide detailed renderings from multiple angles for your review and approval. Any desired modifications can be made before production begins.
4. Resin Printing
Once approved, the design is produced as a highly detailed castable resin model that serves as the foundation for manufacturing.
5. Casting
The resin model is used to create a mold, and your piece is cast using the selected precious metal.
6. Cleaning & Finishing Preparation
Our craftsmen carefully remove excess material, refine the casting, and prepare the piece for polishing and stone setting.
7. Pre-Polishing & Quality Inspection
Before any gemstones are set, the piece is thoroughly polished and examined under high-powered digital microscopes to ensure there are no casting defects or imperfections.
8. Stone Setting
Diamonds and gemstones are meticulously hand-set by our skilled artisans, and any custom design details are completed.
9. Final Polishing & Finishing
The piece undergoes its final polish to achieve exceptional brilliance and shine. Rhodium plating is applied when appropriate.
10. Final Quality Control
Every piece is inspected under magnification to ensure it meets our exacting standards for craftsmanship, durability, and beauty.
